Senior Pediatrician Dr. Nilam Adhikari has passed away

Senior Pediatrician Dr. Nilam Adhikari has passed away at the age of 75.Dr. Adhikari has died at her residence in Guarko, Senior Oncologist Prakash Raj Neupane informed.

Adhikari had been suffering from breast cancer for a year and had been undergoing chemo. According to doctor Neupane, " Dr. Adhikari has great contribution to make the Department of Pediatrics at Patan Health Sciences Institute, Patan Hospital competent and organized,."

After being retired Dr. Adhikari was working at B&B Hospital . Dr. Adhikari had a lung problem too.

'Dr. Adhikari fully worked day and night in the service of the patients in her hole life.Dr. Adhikari was also the chairman of the Committee for Investigation of Unwanted Incidents after Vaccination Nepal and the former vice-chairman of the World Advisory Committee on Safe Vaccines.

She has a husband, a son and a daughter. her husband Dr. Ramesh Kant Adhikari is a pediatrician.
